My name is Kahlil A. I met Karen when I was at my worst. I was using very heavily and out of control. I decided to go to rehab and restart my life. I was tired of being tired, every time I reached out for help, which felt like a thousand times, I could not find what I was looking for, until I met karen. Karen was teaching In the rehab where I went for help. At first I thought that recovery would not work. Then I started in Karens class, It started with sharing things about yourself and hearing things about others, in which I found we are all not that different. It is the way we cope with situations in life.

The thing that stuck with me the most is how I felt unconditional love in this class, that is what it seemed to be about to me. With the support I got from this, I was able to start loving myself again. And loving life again. love and knowledge  is what I got from Karen. A solid foundation to build on.
